#13 BEST VIEW 2.10 18-mar-2001

After long and languish waiting Ivan Roshin, at last presents for us a new version of immortal utility BEST VIEW.

As I can understand it isn't the very BEST VIEW v3.0 with the commander inside, which was promised to release by the author, but the next version of 2.xx series.

More info is in the manual. But I should say that there are many new features, all of them are as always positive.
Generally speaking, you're welcome to the new millennium having new BEST VIEW.

Some info is in author's homepage.

#11 scream#1 official press-release 17-mar-2001

...[scream#1 - press release]...

About two months ago new label Scream Crew (SC), which entered in the Constellation International Association (CTL i.a.) created. SC is a team, organised specially for Scream magazine creating. The e-zine is typical scene press representative, which have all idiosyncrasies of scene edition.

The magazine will be periodical (all details are in the mag). The first number issue is planned in the March, although the date may be changed to the April. Today we work under interface, intro and some articles, music is complete. Many of people helps us to make the first issue, but I don't want to tell it now, because it's more pleasant to be impressed by anything good, than to be confused about not kept promise =).
If everything will be OK, the magazine will be two language (english and russian), but it depends on if we'll translate in time all articles...

The main is that the magazine will be wholly devoted to Spectrum scene. One I can promise is that it'll be in high level and will issue more often than 1 time a year.

P.S. all who want to take part in scream#1 creating, mail the main editor, especially we need your articles and programs for warez pack (new cracks of firm games, not released demos, etc.), although good music is needed too.

#4 New GFX format for Speccy! 07-mar-2001

I want to inform speccy GFXers, that I and Alexey Susekow, develop new GFX resolution for ZX Spectrum.

The new mode is very close in its structure to IFLI on c=64. Your machine not need any upgrade, you just have to make some timing synchronisation before the program starting.

I hope, that in the nearest future we'll publish press-release, specification of the picture format and needed code to use it on Spectrum.

Nearly now some elite spectrum artists try the power of new gfx resolution with Alexey's editor.

We appeal to all active artists for collaborating to make standard the new mode and development GFX editor.

#3 Forever2e3 SE: 2 weeks till deadline 07-mar-2001

Not so much time left to the first great"8-bit"
demoparty this year.

Forever 2e3 Second Edition will take place at the 16-18 of march in ZLATOVCE (Slovakia). Remember, that the last year party not just left successfully, but even showed all the greatness of ZX Spectrum as a scene machine.

The best were GFX and 1k intro. GFX impressed Atari and C=64 sceners so greatly, that they even made remarks about it in many party-reports.

I hope, this year party will be successful, because your support, in any way, will be in the same level.

Speccy section organizer Pol/PHT waits for your works!

#2 ZX Charts in troubles 07-mar-2001

For success the next leg of the charts releasing is needed only 50, Organizers ask for people:

Vote or will lose!

I really can't understand where the 25 every-day visitors of our resource? Or where 50 every day visitors of PoS home page?

Or you have enough muscle only to type URL in browser????

The first issue in this year of PaIN the famous scene diskmag released!
The editor - Hugi.

In the new issue of PaIN is the separated lane, which is given to observe demoscene on the various platforms.

Elite representative describes every scene by answering the standard question list. You should read it, because besides introducing the alternative 8-bit scenes you can look to the mirror of the scene in eyes of Raver/PHT.

Funny and edifying!
