ShuCon2004 report So I kicked myself to write this report finally. The 1st reason is that nobody did it yet, 2nd reason is that Jeffie asked me for some report. It will be only brief report, because all days I spent on ShuCon are mixed to one for me now, so I'm not able to sort particular events to exact time scale. So here it is: We live this finally. On Friday 02.07.2004 my wife and me packed our luggage, put it into car and we shoot out. Direction Sumice of course. We arranged our visit at JSH's place a day before ShuCon officially starts. Journey went good and fair, on SK/CZ border we not a bit slow down our car, customs officer just swayed us to continue. It's small distance from borders to Sumice, so after 15 minutes we stopped in front of JSH's place. We were surprised by disorder that was everywhere. But everything was explained soon. JSH's parents decided to reconstruct their house, so that's why was such mess around. But we didn't mind anyway. After a while Omega and Poke arrived, so we decided we will celebrate ShuCon beginning. We went to small pub called Jadranka, where we stay till midnight. We drank down about 6 beers, Omega appended some beakers of alcoholic liquoir so celebration was very good. Saturday was very traditional, takeover of cottage, lot of shopping, and we managed tap-device with beer of course. First bunch of people arrived in afternoon, so ShuCon officially started. We drank out some beers and liquoirs, so mood was very funny and good. Dizzy with his equipment didn't arrived yet so we used Petra's car for playing music. We had lot of fun, especially when few of us sang early in the morning Ozzy's "Mama I'm coming home", but very unsound. On Sunday appeared some computers (PC and ZX, but also C64 and Amiga), Petanque tournament took place and another bunch of ZX freaks arrived. Thanks to Aragorn we had Internet connection this year which was occupied by EYE first 2 days who spent that time on IRC. On Monday Dizzy with his equipment arrived, so we had big sound system from that moment. Then it was one big vortex with no less than 25 people. Lot of fun, Petanque tournaments, huge load of music, enough beer and food. We didn't miss visits of small stone mine filled with water, placed near cottage and raids to small store for pickled ermine. I think it was on Tuesday when Tornado saved us with his wrench no.24 which was used to change tap-head for Gambrinus beer barrels. MikeZT, Shrek, Logout and Factor6 started work on their Shucon Kapka Demo. Somewhere around Wednesday ShuCon got his top, and we went mad with that Koroptev (partridge) thing. TDM, Poke and Baze produced excellent song as a result of this madness. On Wednesday evening we started also our work on Koroptef's Eklhaft Kentus Professional. Omega worked on code, Factor6 drawn some graphics and I kicked myself to make some music. Also Poke and Wixet took place in making this crazy stuff. Then happened something that nobody expected. Factor6 dressed some "cosmic" suite and makes lot of fun for us with his Karaoke6 thing. I have to mention TDM's moderator capabilities also. He broke his spectacles during his show, but we can't stop laughing when he took microphone. I can't forget Dron's traditional but unique fire-show, which we extended with some fireworks this year. Baze has big success with his "Ode to fried cheese" and with special shower joke. My English knowledge is not good enough to describe that shower thing, but be sure we heard laughing from shower box many times. I should not forget trips we did. We visit Buchlovice Castle, small lake called Blue Water, beautiful open-air swimming pool, and we also made long trip when we were searching mushrooms. Don't be afraid. We didn't get poison or hallucination sorts. Also that brigade-work for JSH's parents was great. We removed lot of old bricks from attic, but we had lot of fun and JSH's dad gave us great homemade pear liquoir. I must admire our girls, JSH, Sweet and others who made great food for us. Hope my goulash was enjoyed by all. Oh, I nearly forget to mention about Dizzy's telescope, which we use to explore landscape and stars. And we had also mascot again. This time it was small black cat, which was leaved near our cottage by foreign people. She adopted us very quickly and we were afraid what'll happen to her when we leave, but Aragorn took her to his place. And that's it. That's the way ShuCon goes. We are always surprised when it reaches its end. Last night we celebrated with Absinth vortex. We were little bit misorientated for a while, but then we celebrated till early morning. On last Sunday everybody leaved quite fast, so last cleanup was done by Baze, me and my wife, JSH, Tornado, Petra and Dodo. At 5.00 pm we hand over cottage and went home with hidden tear in eye. What can I say more. This ShuCon was excellent again, it's hard to describe it. You have to live through it by yourself. You can regret if you was not there, you have great memories if you joined us.
